Hydrocortisone 1% Cream (Mild Corticosteroid - Eczema)

Description

Usage

Apply a thin layer to the affected area once or twice a day for up to a week at a time, unless a doctor or pharmacist has advised otherwise. Gently rub in and wash your hands afterwards, unless the hands are the area being treated.

Side Effects

Mild stinging on application is possible, particularly on broken or very inflamed skin. With prolonged or repeated use, thinning of the skin can occur, especially on delicate areas like the face.

Ingredients

The active ingredient is hydrocortisone 1% w/w.

Warnings

Avoid using on the face for more than a few days without medical advice, and don't use on broken skin, infected skin, or acne. Not for use on children under 10 without a doctor's advice. If symptoms haven't improved after a week, see a pharmacist or doctor rather than continuing to self-treat.
