Terms & conditions
Last updated: August 2025
Welcome to Medicinex. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our website and associated services. By using our website, you agree to be legally bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. Continued use of the website after changes implies acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.
1. About Medicinex
Medicinex is a UK-registered online pharmacy, regulated by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and compliant with the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). Our service enables users to access clinical advice and purchase General Sale List (GSL), Pharmacy (P) and Prescription Only Medicines (POM) online, under the supervision of GPhC- registered pharmacists and prescribers.
2. Eligibility and use of service
- •You must be 18 years or older and resident in the UK to use this service.
- •You may only register one account and must provide truthful, accurate and complete information.
- •You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
- •We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where misuse or fraudulent activity is suspected.
3. Medical questionnaires & prescriptions
- •All orders for P and POM medicines require completion of an online medical questionnaire.
- •A qualified prescriber reviews the questionnaire to determine whether treatment is safe and appropriate.
- •We may decline to prescribe medication or recommend referral to your GP or other healthcare provider if needed.
- •You must not falsify or withhold medical information, as this may affect your safety and void the consultation.
4. Ordering & Dispatch
- •Approval & Rejection: After your consultation is reviewed and approved by a prescriber, your item will be made visible and added to your cart for purchase. If your request is not approved, the item will not be visible and you will not be able to add it to your cart. In this instance, you will receive an email detailing the reason for the rejection and, where appropriate, a recommendation to consult your GP or a specialist. No payment is requested or taken for unapproved requests.
- •Confirmation & Dispensing: Upon successful payment via Stripe, you will receive an order confirmation email. Your prescription will then be processed and dispensed by a GPhC-registered pharmacy team.
- •Packaging: To protect your privacy, all orders are sent out in plain, discreet packaging.
- •Product Information: Please note that product pricing, descriptions and availability are subject to change without prior notice.
5. Delivery
- •We offer UK-wide delivery through approved and reliable courier services.
- •While we strive for prompt dispatch, delivery times are estimates, and delays may occur outside our control.
- •We are not liable for postal delays or failed deliveries due to incorrect address details provided by the customer.
6. Returns, Cancellations & Refunds
Returns
Due to UK law and safety regulations, we cannot accept returns of dispensed medications unless they are:
- •Faulty
- •Incorrectly supplied
- •Damaged upon delivery
If your order meets any of the above criteria, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt.
Cancellations & Refunds
You may cancel your request for questionnaire-based medicines and private prescriptions at any time prior to making a payment. Because items are only made visible and added to your cart after prescriber approval, you can easily cancel by deleting the item from your cart before proceeding to checkout.
Please note that once payment has been successfully processed via Stripe, the order is final. No cancellations can be made and no refunds will be issued thereafter.
For more details, please refer to our full Returns and Cancellations Policy.
