Description

Usage

Apply to the whole body from the neck down (including between fingers and toes, under nails, and the soles of the feet), leave on for 8 to 12 hours or overnight, then wash off thoroughly. Repeat this once more after 7 days to catch any newly hatched mites. All household and close contacts usually need treating at the same time, even without symptoms, and bedding/clothing should be washed on a hot cycle.

Side Effects

Skin irritation, itching, stinging or a burning sensation are common, particularly if the skin is already irritated by scabies itself. Itching can persist for a couple of weeks after successful treatment, even though the mites have been killed, this doesn't mean the treatment hasn't worked.

Ingredients

The active ingredient is permethrin 5% w/w.

Warnings

Apply to cool, dry skin, don't use straight after a hot bath, as this increases absorption. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. Complete both treatments a week apart for the best chance of fully clearing the infestation, and treat household contacts at the same time.
