Oral Rehydration Salts Sachets (Dioralyte - Diarrhoea)

Description

Usage

Dissolve one sachet in the amount of water stated on the pack (usually 200ml) and drink after each loose, watery stool, or as guided for ongoing fluid replacement. Use freshly made solution each time, and don't add anything else like sugar or squash.

Side Effects

Side effects are rare when used as directed. Vomiting can occasionally occur if too much is drunk too quickly.

Contains a balanced mix of sodium chloride

Warnings

Use with caution if you have kidney or liver disease, are on a low-sodium diet, or have phenylketonuria (check the ingredients list for aspartame in flavoured versions). Seek medical advice if diarrhoea lasts more than a couple of days in adults, or sooner in young children, the elderly, or anyone with signs of significant dehydration.
