Minoxidil 5% Scalp Solution (Men - Hair Loss)

Usage

Apply 1ml to the affected scalp area twice a day, using the pipette or spray provided, on dry hair and scalp. Let it dry fully before styling your hair, and wash your hands afterwards. Don't use more than 2ml in a 24-hour period. Give it at least 4 months of consistent twice-daily use before judging whether it's working.

Side Effects

Scalp irritation, dryness, itching or flaking are fairly common, especially at first. Some increased hair shedding in the first few weeks is normal and usually settles down, it doesn't mean the treatment isn't working. Whole-body effects such as a fast heartbeat or fluid retention are rare and more likely with excessive use. The solution contains alcohol, so keep it away from naked flames.

Ingredients

The active ingredient is minoxidil 50mg/ml (5% w/v). It also contains ethanol (60% v/v)

Warnings

This is for men aged 18 to 65 only. Don't use it if your hair loss came on suddenly or in patches, as this needs a doctor's assessment. It's not suitable for women, a 2% strength product is available for female hair loss instead. Avoid getting it in your eyes, and don't apply to broken or infected skin. If you see no improvement after 16 weeks, it's worth a review.
