Description

Usage

Take the single tablet as soon as possible after unprotected sex, ideally within a few hours and always within 72 hours. It can be taken with or without food. If you vomit within 2 to 3 hours of taking it, you'll likely need another dose, contact a pharmacist promptly.

Side Effects

Nausea, abdominal pain, tiredness, headache and breast tenderness are common. Your next period may come earlier or later than usual, or be different in heaviness. These effects are usually mild and pass quickly.

Warnings

Take this as soon as possible, its effectiveness drops the longer you wait, and it may be less effective in people with a higher body weight. It doesn't protect against pregnancy from any further unprotected sex after you take it, so use condoms or another method going forward. Certain medicines, including some anti-epileptic drugs and St John's Wort, can make it less effective.
