Usage
Take 15ml twice a day to start, adjusting the dose over a few days to find the amount that keeps your bowels comfortable. It can take 2 to 3 days to have an effect, so give it time to work.
Side Effects
Bloating and wind are common in the first few days of use, and usually settle down. Abdominal discomfort can occur if the dose is too high.
Ingredients
The active ingredient is lactulose 3.35g per 5ml.
Warnings
Avoid if you have galactosaemia (a rare inherited condition) or a bowel obstruction. It can take a few days to start working, so it's not suitable if you need quick relief.
