Description

Usage

Apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin affected by acne, once daily to start (building up to twice daily if well tolerated). Avoid the eyes, lips and mucous membranes. It can take 4 to 6 weeks of regular use to see the full benefit.

Side Effects

Dryness, peeling, redness, burning and stinging are common, especially in the first couple of weeks, and usually settle as your skin adjusts. Benzoyl peroxide can bleach coloured fabrics, so it's worth using white towels and pillowcases.

The active ingredient is benzoyl peroxide 2.5% w/w

Warnings

Start with once-daily use and build up gradually to reduce irritation. Avoid applying to broken or sunburnt skin. Your skin may become more sensitive to sunlight, so use sun protection during the day. Use with caution in pregnancy, only if clearly needed.
