Anbesol Adult Strength Gel - Lidocaine & Cetylpyridinium Gel (Mouth Ulcers)

Description

Usage

Apply a small amount directly to the sore area with a clean fingertip, up to 3 times a day for adults (check pack for reduced frequency in children). Avoid eating or drinking immediately afterwards while the area is numb, to prevent accidentally biting your cheek or tongue.

Side Effects

A brief numbing or tingling sensation is expected and is how the product works. Local irritation or, rarely, allergic reactions can occur.

Ingredients

The active ingredients are lidocaine hydrochloride 0.9% and cetylpyridinium chloride 0.02%.

Warnings

Not suitable for children under 12 in this strength. Avoid if you have an allergy to local anaesthetics. See a dentist or doctor if an ulcer hasn't healed within 3 weeks.
