Contraception

Start the pill, or carry on with it, without waiting for a GP

Combined pill, progestogen-only pill or the patch, started or continued after a blood pressure check and a short assessment. Supply is usually for twelve months, so you are not back in every three.

Who it is for

  • Anyone wanting to start hormonal contraception
  • People who have run out and cannot get a GP appointment
  • Anyone whose current pill is not suiting them

What happens on the day

  • Blood pressure, weight and a short medical history taken
  • A conversation about which method fits your life, not just your notes
  • Supply issued the same visit where it is suitable

What to bring

  • The name of your current pill, or its packaging
  • The date your last period started
